Passion Unleashed-Demonica #3 by Larissa Ione

Can you hear my sighs of content? After finishing book #3 of the Demonica series by Larissa Ione I can see why everyone said this one was their favorite. There's nothing like a hero turning from someone who was a selfish, inconsiderate prick who only thought of himself kind of guy into someone who is totally swoonworthy and sighworthy.

The Plot:
Serena Kelly is kind of an archaeologist-she went to undergrad to become one, but quickly became bored with the classes and was hired by Val, a professor and family friend, to hunt down ancient treasures for him. Wraith is a half Vampire/Seminus Demon who finds far flung relics for his brothers to help cure those who are ill  at the Underground General Hospital.

When Wraith is poisoned he and his brothers search for a cure to keep him from dying. They discover that the only known cure is a charm that  was given to Serena when she was seven that grants her immortality and health-as long as she stays a virgin. (Darn those virgin curses!!) Wraith has to  convince Serena to give up her charm at a great cost to herself. When the time comes, will Serena give up her charm to save Wraith, and will he be able take it from her knowing what it will cost Serena?
My Thoughts:
What I love most about this series is all the stories within the story. The side characters in the book-each have their own story to tell, as do Wraith's brothers who we met in Pleasure Unbound and Desire Unchained.  Out of all the brothers-the best part of all of these stories is how the merge together to tell the current story without the present romance getting lost. Out of all the brothers Wraith was the most tortured, and selfish...it was so nice to see him start to care for someone else and put their feelings above his own. While I loved seeing Wraith grow, Serena bothered me a bit in how she kept moaning about how Wraith was a demon once she found out that he was one-I thought she should have been able to accept it a lot sooner then she did, but it didn't take away from the story at all. I can not wait for Ecstasy Unveiled when it comes out at the end of the month!! I read this book as apart of the awesome  Erotica Challenge hosted by the Wonderful Erotic Horizon and the Support Your Local Library Challenge hosted by the awesome J.Kaye.

The wonderful Larissa at Welcome to Larissa's Life is having Demonica week at her blog next week-make sure you don't miss it!

Swoonworthy Meter: High
Sigh Meter: High
Smoldering love scenes Meter: Scorching hot!!
Sidekick Rating: Excellent: I so want Gem and Ky to have their own book, even though their story has been weaved in all three books.

My Note: If you haven't read this series before, I highly recommend that you start with book one, otherwise you'll be missing out on a lot plot-wise!
