A Certain Wolfish Charm by Lydia Dare

Genre: Historical Paranormal Romance
Series: First in the Westfield Brothers Series

Don't you just love the cover of this book? Everything about this book is just well, charming.  It was just like a breath of fresh air to read.

Simon Westfield, the Duke of Blackmoor has secrets. Secrets that have to do with a full moon and his wolfish personality. He's can't share his secrets with anyone. Lily Rutledge is 23, and totally on the shelf. She's been taking care of her nephew Oliver, since her sister died and has noticed changes in him that don't seem quite normal. She has a feeling that the Duke can help her find out what is wrong with her nephew. Lily has written the Duke for advice, only to get no reply. Fed up with not hearing from him, she decides to go and visit him in person.

Simon is shocked when he arrives home to find Lily at his house demanding answers he just can't give. The full moon is just days away, and he wants her gone so his secret won't be revealed. Lily however, won't leave until she gets the answers she came from, and the Duke isn't used to be disobeyed. Sparks fly as the two battle it out with each other. Luckily for the Duke and Lily they have Prisca, Simon's next door neighbor. Prisca is bossy, and doesn't want Lilys love for Simon to be ignored like her love for his younger brother has been, so she does a bit of matchmaking for them. The two try to resist each other, but are helpless to fight the feelings they have for each other.

I just loved this book. Who doesn't love a good werewolf story? All the characters in the story were such fun-I can't wait to get to know the Westfield brothers better! Lily is headstrong, yet likable and full of common sense-she knows something is going on, and will not let Simon get in the way of her finding out his and Olivers secret. I just loved how she held her own with Simon, and wasn't afraid to speak her mind.  The side characters are equally enjoyable and I can't wait for their stories. I broke my book buying ban to buy her next book-Tall, Dark and Wolfish which is out now.  This is a must read for fans of paranormal and historical romances. Thanks to Patti over at Book Addict for bringing this book to my attention!
