Cruise to Murder Blog Tour & Giveaway!

Please help me welcome authors Zoey and Claire Kane to A Buckeye Girl Reads!!!

1. What is the hardest thing about writing together as a team?
Z: Hmmm... I would say debating a way a scene is handled. The way it will be portrayed. Usually we don’t take away from each other, but add to in a way that we are both excited or giggling.

2. If you could chose anyone to play Zoey and Claire who would it be?
Z: Christine Baranski, who plays The Grinch’s crush in Jim Carrey’s movie. The actress is good with dry humor and she has great legs.
C: For me, Anne Hathaway.

3. What made you decide to include a little romance in both mysteries?
C: We are both romantics. Mom and I got carried away with this question, debating for over ten minutes about romance and our types of guys. We decided to narrow it down to the basics, for readers to understand. Zoey likes the refinement of Edward, but the hunkiness of Jacob.
Z: But, let’s face it, at my age, if he is taller than me, has hair, his own teeth, then that is something to go on.
C: I am fond of Edward and Jacob, too, but the top choice would be neither of them. I choose Team Carlisle, the handsome doctor.

4. If you could chose to be in one of the books with Zoey and Claire, which one would it be?
Z: What do you mean? We have been on those adventures :)  Our favorite adventure, however, has to be The Riddles of Hillgate, because the treasure finances the rest of our adventures.
C: And mom loves her antiques.

5. Zoey and Claire are full of great one liners in Cruise to Murder, do you have a favorite?
C: Well, Mom might not know she says one-liners, but I have a favorite one-liner of hers. She says it to a man who behaves like a zombie and intruded her stateroom in Cruise to Murder--“You got any spit in that hole for a mouth?”

6. How many books are planned for the series?
C: As long as we live, we will continue writing our adventures. I’m sure there will be many more books to come.

7. What would you like readers to come away with most after reading the books?
C: Feeling like they just went to the theater and watched a good flick--got scared, laughed, had a good time while maybe even eating eating popcorn.

8. Can you tell us about any upcoming projects planned?
Z: Yes, Hexes and Xs is our next adventure where puzzles must be solved and hexes must be avoided. We were invited to help solve a mystery surrounding a witch’s coven, wherein a Victorian mansion is actually the map to an astonishing find.

9. Do you have a favorite mystery series that you read?
C: I don’t have one. When I was little I read Nancy Drew.
Z: I actually like reading The Cat Who Series by Lillian Braun

Last thoughts?
C: We are holding a $25 Amazon Gift Card Giveaway at our blog, http://zoeyandclaire.blogspot.com Thanks for having us on your blog, Colette

BIOS:

Claire has a Masters in Journalism, was Editor for Eye Witness Magazine and can’t make Irish Rum Cookies to save her life.

Zoey has dabbled in modeling, is a licensed real-estate agent, seeks for treasures (great and small), and is often underestimated.

Together, Zoey and Claire are a mother-daughter mystery solving duo. During their downtime, they dream of island men whisking them away.

(Claire and Zoey are also fictional, and their authors are a real life mother and daughter who use their names as pseudonyms. Don't tell them that, though.)

Zoey and Claire are giving away one E Book Copy of The Riddle of Hillgate and one E Book Copy of Cruise to Murder. To enter, just state which book you would prefer (Cruise to Murder works well as a stand alone) with your email address or twitter handle so I have a way to contact the winner. If I do not hear from the winner within two days, then a new winner will be chosen.  Giveaway is open until 11pm Friday March 16th.
