Character Interview with Mallory from The Chicagoland Vampires & Swag Giveaway

Clouds are brewing over Cadogan House, and recently turned vampire Merit can't tell if this is the darkness before the dawn or the calm before the storm. With the city itself in turmoil over paranormals and the state threatening to pass a paranormal registration act, times haven't been this precarious for vampires since they came out of the closet. If only they could lay low for a bit, and let the mortals calm down. That's when the waters of Lake Michigan suddenly turn pitch black-and things really start getting ugly.Chicago's mayor insists it's nothing to worry about, but Merit knows only the darkest magic could have woven a spell powerful enough to change the very fabric of nature. She'll have to turn to friends old and new to find out who's behind this, and stop them before it's too late for vampires and humans alike

Please help me welcome Mallory from the Chicagoland Vampires Series by Chloe Neill to A Buckeye Girl Reads. One lucky winner will get some surprise swag (that I really want to keep) from Cadogan House. Another will get my own copy for book one-Some Girls Bite. Open to US Residents only. Rules for the giveaway are below.  Drink Deep released on November 1st and is book five in the series. It does not work well as a stand alone. I love this series so much that I am giving away

Mallory, thanks so much for talking with us today. For those of you who are unfamiliar with you , can you tell us a bit about yourself?

Mallory: Sure. I'm awesome, formerly an advertising executive and now learning the ins and outs of controlling the universe at my very whim. So I have THAT going for me. Which is nice. *Grins*

Mallory, are you jealous that Catcher has his own Team Catcher fan girls out there?

Mallory: *Leaning forward* Honey, other ladies can look at Mr. Bell as much as they would like. But he's still coming home to me!

Will we get to see more of you with Catcher in Drink Deep?

Mallory: Of course. I'm not sure Chloe could even write about Merit without including me. I'm instrumental to her world. And also humble.

What is the best part of being friends with Merit?
Mallory: She's pretty funny. I mean, I would totally never tell her that to her face--I don't want her to get a big head-- but the girl has a pretty good sense of humor.

Can you give us any inside information about Drink Deep?

Mallory: *zipping lips* Unfortch, I cannot. I am sworn to secrecy to Ms. Neill, who will sic her husband and pups on me if I so much as squeak word one about the plot. But the book is out there now, so folks can read for themselves!

Sure, the life of a graduate student wasn't exactly glamorous, but it was Merit's. She was doing fine until a rogue vampire attacked her. But he only got a sip before he was scared away by another bloodsucker-and this one decided the best way to save her life was to make her the walking undead. Turns out her savior was the master vampire of Cadogan House. Now she's traded sweating over her thesis for learning to fit in at a Hyde Park mansion full of vamps loyal to Ethan "Lord o' the Manor" Sullivan. Of course, as a tall, green-eyed, four-hundred- year-old vampire, he has centuries' worth of charm, but unfortunately he expects her gratitude- and servitude. But an inconvenient sunlight allergy and Ethan's attitude are the least of her concerns. Someone's still out to get her. Her initiation into Chicago's nightlife may be the first skirmish in a war-and there will be blood
