Review: Hot or Cold by ER Pierce

Title: Hot or Cold
Author: ER Pierce
Publisher: Fused Publishing
Series: Hot Lunch, Volume Two
Number of Pages: 15
Source: Author

Ryan and Samantha are back, and steamier than ever...
When Samantha Baker spies a present waiting on her desk, her heart frantically beats. Is it from Ryan? What could it possibly be? On the flip side, can Ryan give up his rigid restraint and schedules in favor of impulse and passion? Will Samantha be the one to make him lose control?

I have to say that I am loving this series!! I think what I love best about this serial is that while the books are short-about 15 pages, there is a lot of character development that you just don't always get when a story is that short. In book one, (you can find my review here) we got to meet Samantha and Ryan. In this book, their relationship continues, and Ryan is still calling the shots, but Samantha wants him to be the one to lose control for a change.

There were a lot of steamy scenes, but what I loved most is along with those there was a lot of character development between Samantha and Ryan. We're beginning to learn what has made the two of them the way they are and why they both have relationship issues. There were a few times when I just wanted to give Ryan a hug. I loved learning more about him and I can't wait to see how their relationship continues to grow into more then just hot sex. The ending of the book left me wanting volume three right now!!

This series by ER Pierce is just a steamy, light, fantastic read!

  1. Thank you so much. One of the things I enjoy the most about Ryan and Samantha is their back stories. I have tried to focus on giving the reader something other than just an office romp or affair. I appreciate you taking the time to read and review Hot or Cold. (And Eating Out as well)

  2. I would love to read this story...I love short, fun, sexy stories. However, this book is only 15 pages long? And it's $2.99? $2.99 is typically a novella-length story, and 15 pages is NOT novella-length.

    Sad panda.

    1. It is free on prime right now though...maybe the price will go down once it's not free for prime members?

  3. Yeah, I agree with Penny. The 15 page thing... Idk. How many books are in the series so far?

  4. Lol, it must take you longer to write the review than to read the story!
