I want to than Colette for hosting me here today and I am excited to be here on A Buckeye Girl Reads.

My favorite types of immortals are the Greek Gods and Goddesses, because there are so many different types of mythology. Some are part animal and some humanoid and some can control the elements and other unworldly things. The ones who live on Mount Olympus can actually reside with humans on earth without be detected, and they are one of my favorites.
There are twelve Greek Gods and Goddesses on Mount Olympus and of course, their children.
My favorite Goddess is the Virginal Artemis, who is the sister of Apollo, and the daughter of Leto and Zeus. Some stories are written that she is the twin sister of Apollo, but in others she was born several days earlier so she could help her mother with the delivery of her brother Apollo. I know, very strange indeed.
Artemis is known as the virgin goddess of the hunt, who also assists in childbirth. She also loves to hunt with arrows. She takes hers and her attendant’s virginal state seriously; anyone who tries to compromise this is dealt with a swift death. Artemis is not only a goddess of childbirth and virginity, but she is the goddess of Swift Death. She accomplishes the latter with her arrows.
Artemis was a beautifully tall, slender woman with sculpted features.
Poseidon was the King of the Seas, but Artemis and Diana, held power over him. They were able to control the tides, depending on how they felt at the time; they could make them crash against the shore causing damage, or let them gently subside.  It is written that Artemis finally merged with Diana.
Artemis is known as one of the three Virgin Goddesses, even though she was said to be virginal, she was not celibate. She was an independent woman and didn’t need a man to rely on. She was never in love with a man. She also had a side to her that was very dark, filled with anger and violence.
There are so many different talents these Gods and Goddesses have. That is why they are my favorite immortals, because you can write so many different stories about them.

Without their sodalis, each was destined to live life without dreams, without love, without hope. The future rested on finding their one true mate for life.

SHELBY O’NEIL has led a solitary life with her parents. So when she goes to school at Washington State University, she believes her life has just begun. Now in her second year, the dreams begin. She dreams with the same man, night after night for months.
