Chloe will have to put her trust a man she believes is like the ones that killed her fiance, or face an eternity on Earth. Without the desire for life, hope could slip through the cracks of time if he doesn’t love away her sorrow. (goodreads)

I was really excited to read this book because it was a different take on mythology then I had seen before. I loved that it was about the three fates, because they never get their story told. Clotho is the fate that creates the beginning, but she hasn't felt like doing it ever since the mortal she loved died and she could do nothing to stop it. Ever since then she said that she would never love anyone else or weave life again. However her father, Zeus has other ideas. He tricks her into going on vacation. He tricks her by saying she has to find her sisters or be stuck on earth. Clotho isn't too happy about this edict, but what can you do when your father is Zeus?

On her way to finding her sisters she meets Dane when he sits down beside her on a bus.  Clotho or Chloe as she prefers, is resolved not to talk to him and instead keeps to herself. Dane though has other ideas. He hates seeing the women next to him so upset, and starts to talk to her to stop her from crying. However fate gets in the way when the bad guys Dane is after see them together. Dane knows that they'll kill her to get the information they need and knowing she knows nothing, takes matters into his own hands and they jump off the bus so the bad guys won't get them. They then go on the run. What I liked is how there was non stop action and how Chloe continually surprised Dane by being tougher then she looked. There was a lot of chemistry between them and I loved their back and forth banter.

The only thing I had a hard time with was that this read more like a Romantic Suspense novel with a touch of paranormal thrown in. The paranormal scenes that were in the book I really enjoyed. Chloe had some really cool powers. The other problem I had, was that Chloe was supposed to be looking for her sisters, and never seemed to get around to that part of the storyline. One of them does make an appearance though, and the ending caught me by surprise. I loved not suspecting the end, and I loved the epilogue. All in all this book did manage to hold my attention, and I can't wait to see what happens to Chloe's sisters.
