In mystic Sleepy Hollow, succubus Lily Night put her prom date, Campbell Jones, into a coma after a night of wild, unbridled sex. She has steered clear of mortals ever since, afraid of damaging them or worse, not to mention the inconvenience of knocking out the power every time they have sex. Successful architect Campbell Jones has lived with strange powers and a sexy secret since that prom night. He’s buried himself in work to forget the woman who’d dumped him at the ER then vanished from his life without a trace. Neither Lily nor Campbell have forgotten that night or the love they’d shared. Will a 1Night Stand help them bury their past?

I have grown to love 1Night Stand books because you know exactly what you are going to get: A nice, short, steamy
romance with a happily ever after. Everything always revolves a dating service ran by the elusive Madam Eve.  The two people meeting don't know each other, but have been matched up by Madam Eve through extensive screening.

In this 1NightStand book we meet Lily and Campbell. The two went to prom together, and much to Lily's horror after they had one night of passionate sex Campbell was in a coma for 6 months. After that incident Lily stayed away from humans-she was just too scared of what might happen to them and didn't want to risk hurting someone else. Her family has convinced her to forget about Campbell and that he shouldn't matter so much to her.  Lily has never quite gotten over him as much as she has led everyone to believe she has.  Campbell Jones still has vague memories about that night that landed him in the hospital all those years ago and has been changed in ways he can't tell people about.

I have to admit that I had trouble with the first part of this novella, and if it weren't for my track record with the 1NightStand books, I probably would have given up on this book. My problem with the first half of the book was that I just couldn't connect with Lily. It wasn't until she met up with Campbell that I saw another side of her and began to really get into the story. I think novellas are hard because there is such a small amount of time to get everyone's story in, and sometimes one character  or two characters just standout more then others . In this case it was Campbell and his brother Sean. I enjoyed them so much that I just didn't care about any other povs and found myself skipping ahead to theirs.   I enjoyed seeing Lily and Campbell come together as a couple, but I just wish I had been able to get into the story earlier then I did.
