Left destitute by an unscrupulous ex-boyfriend, Grateful Knight takes her father up on his offer to live rent-free in a house he hasn't been able to sell. Desperate to make a new start, Grateful tries to overlook the property’s less desirable features, like the graveyard that stretches to her back door. On the bright side, the unbelievably gorgeous cemetery caretaker, Rick, is dead set on helping her feel at home. She vows to take things slow, considering her recent disastrous relationship, but is baffled when she literally can’t keep her hands off of him. When things in Grateful’s house start moving on their own another man enters her life, a sexy ghost with a dark secret. Magical forces are at work in the tiny town of Red Grove and they're converging on Grateful. Solving this ghostly mystery won’t be easy and with the caretaker becoming increasingly jealous of her spectral relationship, Grateful may be forced to choose between the ghost and the graveyard.

This was such a cute read. Grateful is 22 and has lost all her money because she gave it to her boyfriend to help him start a non profit organization. Of course said boyfriend took off and disappeared with her money. She agrees to move into a house that her realtor dad that her dad was left in a will that he is trying to sell and doesn't want to sit empty. Not having any other options, she agrees even though it's a long to commute to the hospital where she works as a nurse.

Once Grateful moves in she falls in love with the house and doesn't understand why it's such a hard sell. That is until she looks out the window into her backyard and discovers that a graveyard is there. It creeps her out, but she deals with it. Upon moving in she meets the gorgeous Rick, who is the caretaker of the cemetery. She's immediately attracted to him, and is weirded out by the instant connection she has to him. She wants to take a break from men, not jump into another relationship. Other weird things happen as soon as she moves in.  She grabs a bottle of shiraz from the wine cellar to drink with dinner, and it's replaced with Pinot Grigio. She writes it off as being tired and grabbing the wrong bottle. Then other weird things start happening and she she is forced to admit that her house is haunted.

I loved watching Grateful come to terms in believing in the unexplained. She's in the medical field and believes in facts. So the whole haunting throws her off completely. She then discovers a whole other host of supernatural problems, and handles them really well.  Grateful was a brush of fresh air when it comes to heroines, because she was logical. She didn't dump her friends, fought the insta-love, and actually went to work while fighting the bad guys. She has a cool kick ass sword, and I just really liked that everything happened to her gradually and not all at once, it made  it really believable.

There is a love triangle, but it worked and I found myself for once cheering on the good guy. I loved him to death. The only thing that didn't work for me was the the part of the book right before the very end. It felt very predictable, but despite that I didn't see one twist coming though I should have and it made me hoping that there will be another adventure waiting for Grateful.

This was just a fun read and I want to thank Tawania from  Wicked Readings By Tawania for making me want to bump this book up on my tbr pile!!
